Content Duplication Bug

I'm expericing this bug with both the old and the new fix: Writing a post in only the first language creates and empty post for the second language (instead not showing it or displaying "This post is only available in language xxx"). The workaround is to edit this post and removing a single "<p>" in the second languages (i.e. deleting all content for the second language), which sneeked in there. But this is annoying the do after each posting.

So the bug is not yet fixed.

This is the case for us also.. both fixes in place..

I am getting gray hairs now..

Sorry that I've been gone for so long. Lots of stuff happend. :/ I'm glad the community still worked while I was away. Way to go guys! I am actually still really busy, but I included the fixes posted here in the latest dev version. Once I have managed my current situation, I'll continue to work on qT. (hopefully in 2 weeks)

Hi, I am very glad to see you back. Just like to stress the fact that the fixes did not work for us. The errors are most easy to duplicate when you have custom meta fields in your post or post templates - We are using Magic Fields to create custom write panels for posts and pages and we experience all the bugs mentioned in this thread.

qTranslate 2.5.29 ist released but he only applied the patches from the forum, so the bug isn't disappeared for some of us.

I have more information about this bug: it will only happen if the content is starting by an HTML tag. For example, create a post with only an <ul> and it will bug

And I also found a fix! In qtranslate_javascript.php comment the following line (line 85) :

result['".$language."'] += blocks[i];

But the problem is, this might also break something? I don't know if this line is useful, but as far as i tested, everything works! Could Qian tell us about this?

have the same problem!! the "content" field with the language tabs does not display in one of my pages. I'm using WP 3.3.2 and qTranslate 2.5.29. I'm not using the advanced custom fields pluggin, so I don't think that it is part of the issue. Does anyone knows what to do?

With WP 3.4.1 and qT 2.5.31 I get again something like

in the second language if I only use the first one with "more".

I opened almost one year ago this post, so much time ago, but i dont understain if the plugin now its working correctly or not ..
Qian, are you still supporting the plugin? The last version has the old issues?
