In my experience...
As long as you keep strictly to either the "Visual" tab or to the HTML-tab, you don't have any issues...
However, if you switch between the two, you will get the issues...

Unfortunately this is has only prove to be true 'sometimes'. My last page update gave me the problem without changing tabs. It's documented in my last post.

It looks like Qain Qin has tried to fix this by putting in a patch to remove the paragraph tag formatting in TinyMCE. See: http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/chang ... qtranslate for the changes.

However I've installed this version (2.5.28b) and I still get the same bug.

The problem happens when the page loads and the default editor is Visual. It has nothing to do with saving the page.

• If the content is correct before the save
• then the content is saved correctly, even when on the Visual editor.
• The problem is that the content is then corrupted when the page reloads after saving
• If at this point, you switch to the HTML editor and refresh the page, you should see the correct content as it is stored in the database.
• Instead of switching to the HTML editor, if you leave the editor as 'Visual' and then re-save you will corrupt what is in the database.

I have tested this with and without the Advanced TinyMCE plugin. The option to to replace p and br tags was turned off.

Hi there,

I have read the discussion topic and find myself with the same bug: the 1st language (English) content does not display, and gets displayed with the 2nd language (French).
However, I have something even more weird happening in my WP dashboard: if I want to edit a page, the "content" field does not display, at all. I can see the two title fields, the revisions, the http://plugins.elliotcondon.com/advanced-custom-fields/ I have for some pages, but not the content with the language tabs.

I tested this under Chrome 16.0.912.75 and Firefox 9.0.1 on Windows. WordPress version is 3.3.1 and qTranslate 2.5.27. I have an IIS server.
I think I haven't seen anyone having this problem yet.
I'm no PHP expert, anyone has a clue why this is happening?

I didn't test the beta version, but while looking at my pages, I can tell that:
- the Bug of the content field not showing up is present only on pages. The content field works in posts and custom blog posts.

Anyone having the same issue?

@evitotto Very good spot - I have the same that there is no problem with posts but there is a problem with pages. I am using WP 3.3.1 and qtranslate 2.5.28b.

Not so, here. I've got WP 3.3.1 and qtranslate 2.5.28b and we can not use our custom post types at all because of this problem.

So far, I haven't lost any content in either languages so dare I say it, I think this fix did the trick!

I have noticed that an extra <p> gets added to the very beginning of my page content (not post content) if I open up in the HTML editor, but it goes away when I switch to Visual then back to HTML.
So far, this does not look like a problem since it fixes itself.

Confirmed.

If I switch to html first, then second language, there are still a pair of <p></p> tags added that go away after switching to visual.

i tried the new version, <p> just appear when loading...
but the tags <div> </div> where added on each sentence in english (3rd language) after I saved when I switch from one to the other visual and html tabs



and then I switch again the tabs and the french version (1rst language) was written on the three tabbs, erasing the other languages...

Hi! Great care is. I use the wp qtranslate + version 3.3.1. After starting the plug-in dates during the POST error appears (% Y% B% e,% A -% H:% M). And there is a problem. If you want to create a new post office, the address you entered does not display anything saved. I disabled all plugins and just let qtranslate but it is above the fault. Ka qtranslate disable it everything works.
