qTranslate for WP 3.0

I too found that hack online, and it seems to work okay. I can at least start entering content into a newly installed WP3 system.
But the article-list looks horrible. Since this is a paying customer I will donate a percentage for qTranslate ... it really is the most powerful translation plugin out there!

I quess Qian Qin has a lot of work to do, since WP3 now allows for custom post types ... how in the hell does he want to make all those user-creatable fields translateable?

if I access http://www.ephestione.it/it/%posttitle%, everything works, but as soon as I try http://www.ephestione.it/it/category/%category% it goes into a redirection loop

I had the same problem. It worked after I disabled the following statements around line 135 in qtranslate_core.php:

$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] = $q_config['url_info']['url'];
$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] = $q_config['url_info']['host'];


Simply delete these lines or comment them out.

Thanks michel for the interest... yet your solution provides no help as it totally disables the italian content of my website
So I'd rather prefer the category listing going into infinite loop until new version is released instead of taking part of the website out for the time being

Hi Qian,

I am a big fan of your plugin and really appreciate it. I am just concerned about the compatibility with WP 3.0.
Don't get me wrong, but I believe you should had started to work in your plugin before WP 3.0 came out. As other
plugin authors did. I am sure we have in this forum a lot of projects stopped because they depend of your plugin.

The good thing is that the community around this plugin is strong, so if you need help to finalise it, don't hesitate to ask.
I believe a lot of people will be glad to help you.

i have been using qtranslate for almost a year, but there is a problem using tags in title (<!--en-->) which is not working when i use xml_rpc in wordpress 2.6 to add or publish posts ,the post title becomes like this one <!--en-->Gallery<!--:--> which is annoying i hope this issue is fixed in the new version maybe try using this one %--en--%
