Buying stamps the smart way

BriefmarkeUsually, when you need to send a letter, you would probably walk to the post office to buy a stamp, or maybe a full set with 10 or more. In Germany, post offices are usually really full and it takes quite some time until you can buy your stamps. The Problem is that the post offices here are also a bank, so there are a lot of customer doing bank business there. They do offer vending machines for stamps, but they printed ones are really ugly and not self-adhesive, so you have to lick them, which I can’t stand a bit personally. So is there a better way to get your stamps?

Well, no big thoughts, I went to eBay and found the stamps I needed. Auctions for self-adhesive stamps with free shipping. Perfect! That’s what I need. You can usually purchase them even cheaper than in the post office and the best thing, you don’t need to stand in the line and they get delivered to your home! Isn’t it great?

My tip is to go to a Mc Paper shop. They are shops from Deutsche Post and they are empty most of the time. If you just need standard values like 0,45€, 0,55€, 1€ or 1,45€ you can get the set of 10 self-adhesive stamps in these shops. You can find these shops almost everywhere in Berlin.
